BTA ok with lights out?

Hi all I'm currently battling an algae bloom (I think) in my 25g cube I've got some cloudy, slightly greenish tinged water. I've been doing water changes but am unable to get on top of it. I want to go lights out for 3-4 days and see if that will do the trick, but am concerned about my rose bubble tip going without light for that amount of time.
Maybe if I feed him well a day or 2 before I cut the lights? I know they are usually pretty tough but he's only been in the tank for about 2 weeks and I don't want to stress him out... Thoughts?

BTA will be fine. I've done 5 day blackout (bin liners taped to glass to prevent any light getting in) while fighting dinos. The biggest risk is that the nem will move.

OK thanks good to know!! He's already on the move the last few days, so no harm done there, lol
