BTA or majano?

Hello! About 6 months new to salt, so I'm looking for some help-

Are these majano or BTA? The one on the sand bed looks like BTA to me, but the one on the rock, I'm not so sure about-

Thanks!

Hard to tell from the pictures but if any of them have white lines around the mouth they it's BTA, if not Majano. I'm betting on Majano's

The white lines come away from the center of the mouth usually. But if there are any white lines then it is a BTA. Usually you won't find many BTA's that small and there are some LFS that sell the majanos as BTA's. :hammer: because they bubble just like one.

If the white lines are a give-away, then the smaller one on the rock is definitely a BTA. Feeding the clown and dottyback tonight, he opened up and there are very obviously 5 small but present white dashes radiating from the mouth - maybe about 1/16" in length. Of course, he's only about the size of a half dollar - sound right?

The other one, more colorful, a little larger and on the sand bed, appears to be splitting so he's not super interested in food tonight... but they came on the same rock from another well-established and cared for tank, so I'm thinking they both are BTA...

i had the same looking thing and they have white stripes on them also but i was told it was more than likely a tulip anemone and is still a pest, i have been getting rid of mine slowly with kalk paste and a syringe
