ok, thank you for reading this. i bought a green bta to go in my 29 gallon along with my rbta so my clown pair could have two anemones. anyway the lfs couldnt get it off the rock it was on ( i didnt want them to try) so i bought the 50.00:eek1: rock with the 20.00 dollar anemone. well now after looking great for 4 days it has taken a turn for the worse. its tentacles look like they are rotting, or realsing stuff kinda like swirly grayish stuff. however its foot is still attached super strong, and otherwise looks great!! a little more info, it isnt tank parms. i may be a kid, but know a ton about reef tanks, i have 2 clams ( derasa, and crocea ) showing no signs of stress, rbta no stress, and many types of lps, and 3 types of sps, ( stag, birdsnest, and table acropora ) everything is growing and doing great except for this. what could it be> thanx

Normal for them to deflate and egest some material on a regular basis especially in the first few weeks as it acclimates.
I would say as long as the nem inflates again at periods thoughout the day and closes its mouth then you will be ok. If it is deflated for any length of time i.e more that 24hrs then you have a problem.
How long was it in the lfs before you bought it?

it was at the lfs for about 3 months. i am worried not about deflating but because the tips of alot of tentacles look like therr either realising grayish swirly lookin goup, or there rotting at the tips. however since i posted it has finally taken a silverside, and is now moving jsut a tad to get out of a little to stong of current. think hell be fine
