BTA problem

I got a bubble tip anenome a week ago and it has been doing fine it is about the size of a softball, but today when I got home from work I looked around and could not find it, after about 10 mins I spotted him and he is in a hole in the rock that hes been attached to, he is all the way inside this hole and the hole is only about the size of a nickel. Why would he go in there and will he come out

I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point. They are known to do things like this. He has just deflated, and happed to fit into the hole. They deflate to expell waste. He may still be acclimating to his new home. Don't try to move him. He'll come out when he is ready. Make sure your water paramaters are up to par, along with your lighting. Also make sure there isn't anything in the tank that would be causing chemical war with it.
If it continues for long periods of time, there is likely something in the tank that is making him unhappy.

The water parameters are good and the lighting is 175W 20000k MH and 2 65W actinic PCs, the corals that are in there are 2 small acros, a monti cap, a hammer coral, GSP, and some Zoos, and a Derasa Clam

I have 2 bta one is rose color. Both will deflate on occasion. they need to acclimate an get happy. do not mess with him and just let him do his thing

Must be very blue in your tank with a 20k mh and two actinic's. im guessing they are on the 60 gal
i would switch to a lower K mh or go up to a 250 watt i think it's on the low end for lighting IMO
but as far as it hiding they will do it for up to two weeks and then pop up one day and most of the time it's not were you want it but don't try to move it

ya the tank is a little to blue and i am going to go with 14k bulb when I get a new one in a couple months, the anenome came back out about a half hour before the lights went out, this is my first try at an anenome so I was just trying to figure out if it was normal or if something was wrong Thank you guys for the help
