BTA Question, Spitting out food?

Hey guys,
I fed my BTA a piece of raw shrimp at like 11:30 am easterntime and it ate it and was fine. now, its 8:20 and i got home from a resturant and the BTA is like throwing it up? Its not messy or annything, it just looks like a chunk of shrimp coming back out of its mouth.

Any ideas???

It might have been too big for it to eat?

Start feeding smaller pieces. Anytime an anemone regurgitates, it is a very good indicator that you are feeding too big of pieces.

BTA's love PE mysids. I find BTA's do better with smaller foods.

how do you feed the mysis?

I used a Sea Squirt to shower the tentacles with rinsed, thawed mysids mixed with a little tank water.

I do the same as above using a Turkey Baster. I would also add that, since you are thawing out the mysis, make sure the water is not too cold before you feed the BTA.

I'm nursing one that my cleaner shrimp had picked close to death, and he still isn't as sticky as he needs to be, so that probably won't work yet, but I appreciate the response.
He's doing ok on small pieces of shrimp, phyto and cylopeeze..(the shrimp is a real pain to feed) I was just hoping y'all had a technique I hadn't thought of..
