BTA question

Wow, that's a really large piece.

Mine closed up and looks back to normal ... not extending as much but mouth is closed tight. "Smoke" was white ... fish ate at it. Was kind of whispy and not much so hopefully that was just spawning.

Yeah that what i was thinking after i took this picture but it whent down with out any trouble . I to think your Nem was trying to spawn . Do you only have the one RBTA or is there others ? If there is more then one then that would mean it was trying .

I only have the one RBTA and a Condy on the other side of the tank. Just fed it and it's filling back out. Weird.

Maybe I'll get a "Condy/RTBA" hybrid. LOL... then I'll sell it and make back some of the $$$ I've spent on this tank.

I definitely see it starting to color up in the center and it still looks like it's going to be a rose. BTW, that weird thing with mine never happened again and it's still doing well.

Thanks. Mostly dried (rehydrated) krill and occasionally scallops. Very small piece about every day sometimes every other day.

It also usually manages to catch something from the herd of arthropods that come out after lights out. It's amazing to see them, they look like mini cows that hang all over the corner overflow covers. I guess they're grazing on the little bits of algae that are left from the constant grazing of my tangs and rabbit fish.

I also have mysis shrimp and copepods that swarm at night so I imagine it takes advantage of that food source as well.

Wow talk about a great food sorce .

I know, right. They all live in refuge in the corner overflows. I can see them swarming in that area during the day and are totally protected from the rest of the tank. They come out under the safety of dark. Pretty cool to see that side of the tank's life.

Believe it or not I also have a healthy crop of aiptasia in the corner overflows and the sump. I leave them because they are good filters (some of them are really uniquely colored and pretty). In the DT I have several peppermint shrimp and every time i see one in the main tank I wonder how long it'll take for the pepps to find it.... answer one night's hunting and gone by the next day.

Still looking good. I saw the pink underside in earlier pictures... if you look back at the older ones you'll see it too (look at the 6/29 pict you can see pink around the edges). It also looks like a little more 'shadowy' colors on the disk... more of a yellow tint now rather than pure white/translucent like before in the tentacles.

Wow,I wish I knew this before.I had an anemone like that before.I just thought there was no helping it.What a great thread.

Thank you there is always hope. Never give up its truly a battle even still today my nem is not looking good again I have no idea what's going on the tentacles are getting stubby again still has good color improvement and is easting really really well . I am truly at a loss for words I will just have to keep doing the very best I can to help out my nem . I will take some new pictures in the next day or two .
