BTA Question

Why do most BTA's loose thier bubbles? Mine was nice and bubbled when i got it, now its only bubbled at the base with long tenticles. I was just wondering or if its an answerable question. Any hypothesis or myths let me know.

As far as I can tell, no one really knows why they loose their bubbles. Mine bubbles still but the bubbles aren't in the tips anymore they're usually in the base of the tentacles. Some think it has to do with lighting. Mine is at the top of the tank (has been from the first introduction) under 200W, 20K MH. Photoperiod for the MH is 8 hrs per day with actinic and actinic only for an additional 5 hrs.

This question is a mystery. I have 6 BTAs in a corner of a tank(3RBTA, 3GBTA) One of each color have "bubble tips" other 4 are long. Doesnt make much sense to me. They are basically all touching each other, are about 12" under LEDs and about 12" away from an Mp40....
