BTA question

Ok, this is my first attempt at keeping an anemone. The tank is 34g red sea max, water parameters: salinity 1.025, ph:8.1, ammonia-0,nitrate-0. Lights are on for 7 hours. The anemone has been in the tank for month now, it normally stretches out and opens up when the lights are on. Been feeding it shrimp and it seemed to be happy. Came home today and the pic below is how it looks today. Does not seem normal, should I be worried?

Other tank mates:
2 percula clowns-small
yellow tang
Royal gamma
Panther grouper-small size, only in this tank until he gets bigger so I can put him in my 150g with my lion.

Yes, you can't attach pictures larger than 2mb

Usually when BTA's do that they are in a ball, they normally do this after they eat and sometimes just do it. I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point, just keep an eye on it. Will probably be back to normal in the morning. I don't worry too much about BTA's unless they look really bad for an extended period of time.

How long has the tank been setup? But you have 2 fish that will outgrow that tank anyway, why cant you move them to the 150 now?

You may have fed it too much and it needs a break to digest. Have you seen any food that it may have spit out around it?

I would move that grouper now. Even a small sized grouper has a big mouth and appetite to follow. Won't take long until its big enough to swallow that gramma and clowns.

Also note they can get over 2' long and very thick. I wouldn't house in a 250.

no,but that thought ran past my mind, I've feed it every other day. Too much?

Tank has been set up for 6 months. Did not move the grouper yet because i don't want my lion in the 150g to eat him.

I found out quickly that is a lot. I feed every other week now. Some rarely if ever do.

I havent fed mine in over a year, they just get whatever food is floating around from when i feed the fish

Yeah, mine are eating everyday as I feed quite a bit and mostly broadcast feedings. I started feeding them directly every other day. Then once a week. Was feeding every other week but my RBTA keeps splitting and when they do its after being fed a single whole jumbo krill. I started with a single GBTA and single speckled multi colored RBTA. I now have a single GBTA and 8 RBTAs.

I'm switching to feeding once a month going forward.
