BTA question

Hello,

We recently added a BTA to our tank, it has been about a week. It has looked like I would expect until this afternoon. We couldn't see it so we moved the rock to get a look at it and it looks odd to us. We are concerned that there may be something wrong with it and would like any insights. Our clowns haven't hosted with it and it has been accepting food. I also think that it may have eaten our cleaner shrimp a few days ago.

Here are some pictures, any input is appreciated!

More info is needed to give the best advice. So we know it's been in the tank a week. What size tank, parameters, lighting, flow, how long has the tank been set up, how often are you feeding it?

Any updates? It's hard to say whether this is normal or not. My current and first BTA has been in the tank for 2 weeks. He would look miserable (even worst than your photo) around noon and get back to normal afterwards. He does this every day. He hasn't moved and my clowns immediately bonded with it. This one likes massive floe directed towards him.

My second BTA's behavior is similar to yours. He went under the rock and preferred to pull himself up in a crevice to get some light. This one does not like flow much and chose a spot where there is little flow. He also does not like as much light as the other BTA (150 PAR vs 350 PAR). The clowns have bonded with it as well. He'd ball up at certain times of the day and hide inside the rock.
