my bta keeps closing everytime the lights come on he has been in the tank over 2 months can someone tell me what is going on

How many lights and what times? I have 2-4 foot n.o. t-8s come on then 2 hours later my vhos come on so that there isnt 600+ watts come on at once. It would be like hooking up a MH to your alarm. I would close up too.

my 2 t5 ( 12 HOurs )comes and 2 hours later my 2 250 watts mh (8 hours )comes on it 125 gallon tank
