BTA split question

I know BTA will split when stressed, but will a healthy happy BTA always split?

Reason I ask is I dont realy want several BTA's. If its unavoidable then I can sell them for store credit but Im hoping it wont split often.

Heres a pic or two of mine, one with clown and one with out. It has doubled in size since I got it about 2 months ago.

Feeding has been one silver side or chunk of raw shrimp every other day. I see people talking about fish abd shrimp stealing the food from BTA, but mine closes and engulfs the food almost instantly so I havent had that worry yet.

I'm not sure that feeding it will necessary cause it stress enough to split. My tank gets Cyclop-Eeze(frozen)everyday, mostly for the fish, but the nems get alot of it as well. I've been doing it for months, and only one of my rose BTAS have split. I have 13 other BTAS in the tank that have not.

I had been feeding it while the clarki clown was in QT because of its size. It was rather small I had some concern over the clown being too large and possibly causing harm to it.

It has doubled in size, well a bit more than double, and seems to hold up well to the attentions of the clown.
I will reduce feeding it now to once or twice a week.

Good to hear that you have several which have not split. As I stated I really do not want more than one nem. For now anyway.

Thanks for all the replys.
