bta went from 4" across to 1"

I bought this anemone 6 months ago acclimated good attached its self to a rock in the front of my tank my tomato clown went right for him great but in the last month the anemone has shrunk to the size of a quarter I used Ice in a Ziploc baggie and in 3 minutes he was off the rock I put him in a homemade holding little tank inside the tank his foot is white like when I bought him hes turned brown about 2 months ago do they shrink before they split ?I don't want to lose him he ate normally 3 times a week. this last month I've watched him deteriorate anymore the clown smashes into him I got him to eat 10 days ago a very small piece of shrimp 3 days ago some mysis I have to sit there and watch him because he eats so slowly I mean I've been on watch for 3 hours for the shrimp and 2 hours for the mysis I don't no what to do The tank is 2 years running HELP

My BTAs look weird and ugly when they splitted. But they never shrink to that extend.

I don't really understand either, other than it use to look good and declined recently.

What are your water parameters, tank specs, lighting, etc?

Any recent changes to the system?

You are feeding it? How much, how often? I would stop for now.

All my pars are good 2 nitrate 60 watts of 3 watt crees 10 royal blue 10 full spectrum whites I don't know but the tomato clown was not to nice to him so today I put the anemone by himself in a home made isolation little tank I DON'T KNOW

they close up from time to time.. if its not white, then its not dying .. is the mouth tight or wide open? also feeding the bta multi times a week will cause it to split in two.. he might be splitting from overfeeding.

fyi, they look very strange when they are splitting. like *** is going on wierd.
