Had a few quick questions before I go spending a few hours researching ... just want to make sure this anemone is for me.

Some one told me that certian ones grow big and dont split often and some stay small and split all the time ... true or false?

How often do they spread and if they do spread is it easy to remove them?

Will they eat any of my small fishes? Such as a mandarin?

Is it bad to have 3 or 4 in a 120? I wanted to get a few different color morphs.

How big do they generaly get in a 120 gallon tank (I ask this becuase I assume it would grow different in a 30 gallon tank)

Once they find a spot they like will they move around agian?

Thats it, reading the BTA Care thread and Anemone fact as I type so if any of these questions sound dumb sorry

Thanks,
Tony

Bta's are perfect for a large tank and you can have as many as you wish, not hundreds;) but 10 or so.
They will split on occasion and you can sell or trade them if you want to or keep them in the tank.
Yes they do move at times and will knock over things if not well anchored but mine never move. So go for BTA's there are greens, reds and some beautiful pinks to chose from.
Good luck on whatever you decide.
I have info on BTA's under my little red house.

yeah when I said I was reading the BTA care thread I was talking about your post that linked me to your website. I sorted out posts by # of replies and your thread came up. I also finsihed reading anemone fact.

I wanted to add 3 but I'm gunna start out with just one

I still have 2 more questions ...

-Does there look cahnge when they get bigger, I saw a few pictures of 1 1/2 and 2 year old BTA and they looked pretty ugly. There tentables were all messed up and some were super fat and some really skinney.

-How fast do they generaly grow and how big will they get? Although they look cool I dont want it bigger then 8" and plan to sell it when it gets that size but if they grow from a 2" piece (the size I plan on buying) to 8" in 4 months then they probably arent for me.

Thanks,
Tony

Some will get the long tenticles and some will retain there bubbles, no one knows why they do that.
I have several with bubble tips and 2 with long tenticles in the same tank so who knows.
If you feed them a lot they will grow big and usually split before getting to 8 inches or so.
But not always.
Feed them once or twice a week will keep them growing slowly.
Most anemones will get large but if you are looking for one that wont, go for a flower or rock anemone, they get to about baseball size and no bigger and there are some pretty ones to be had.

Well if they split around 8" then there perfect even if they gett to a foot my tank is decent sized.

I just dont want them to look like this when they get older
