Bubble Algae - How to get rid of?

I have several varieties of bubble algae in my fairly new aquarium. I know that you can use emerald crabs to get rid of them. They also talk about removing the algae yourself(?), and siphoning off the spores that may come off or removing the piece of rock and putting it back in.

What would you seasoned veterans recommend?
TIA!!

OK. There are some downsides about acquring someone else's LR!! I've found several already!! Aiptasia, bubble algae...

Keeing your nutrient levels low is a good way to help combat bubble algea...other than that, emrald crabs are the only other way.

I've read a lot of conflicting info on emerald crabs. Are they actually reef safe? I like the look of them but have been a bit cautious about adding one to the tank.

Somewhere I read that Emeralds aren't that effective. While they may eat the bubbles, but they release the spores at the same time.

SELL IT TO PORKY AT THE FRAG SWAP!!!!!!!!!!.LOL

I had some success with emeralds, they have never seemed to bother anything. Once I saw one picking at a coral, but after looking closely, he was simply removing something that was on it. To be honest, it seems like using them to get rid of a problem is like trying to use a band-aid on it instead of fixing the problem. I'm not sure what to do, but I'm trying a phosban reactor. They seem to help prevent new growth, but don't seem to be able to eat anything of size.
