Bubble algae

What is this growing on my chaeto ball inside of my fuge?

I have been plucking the strands that have these "pink bubbles" and throwing them in the trash. Also have been running the chaeto ball under tap water to rinse off debris and cyano.

No problem. It comes and goes. In the fuge, it's no bother: most tanks get a spot of it, which goes away after a month or so. Nothing eats it, really, in any quantity to make much difference in a tank above 5 gallons, but if you watch your water quality (see my sig line) you shouldn't have much trouble with it.

My entire tank was covered in these things, i got 2 emerald crabs and in one week every single bubble was gone. I was fighting them for months. Soon as the tank was clean i got rid of both the crabs because they got huge eating all the algae and started picking at my other corals. Its been about 3 months and Im yet to see a single bubble come back!

Not sure about nothing eating it. I had the same situation as sev and two emeralds busted it out in a week tops. Then I gave to buddies and did the same. Now they are being fed
