Bubble Algae?

Does this look like the beginning stages of bubble algae? The green patch is about the size of a dime, if not a bit smaller.

I'm not sure what those are, but they don't look like bubble algae to me. Bubble algae will look like shiny green semi-transparent balls.
 
No, bubble algae starts off as little bubbles and grows into bigger bubbles, there is no 'patch' with bubble algae. That stuff is weird though, a better pic would help.

That's really the best picture I can get. Was zoomed in 8x to get it and it's on the back of the tank.

Today, the green spot is still there, but the specs are gone. I'm hoping they are just some microbubbles that got hung up on the algae. I wasn't looking forward to battling bubble algae, so I'm excited that's not the case.

This looks more like Cyanobacteria or just plain Green Film Algae IMO.

Wait.. what? bubble algae is green bubbles? crazy.. who thinks of these names :lmao:

I agree with the cyano or just regular green film algae..
But the white things are interesting..
