bubble algae?

wait till they get big enough to pull off without popping, also emerald crabs worked for me, but i didn't have alot of them to begin with.

Thanks, I'm gonna have a problem with one colony it seems it is smart and growing in a crevice in the rocks I doubt even a crab could reach

be very careful in removing it, if you cant remove it with out popping it, you'll be better off leaving it alone .... I would agree wit the emerald crabs , let them have at it before you even try IMO

They say bubble algae is not good to have correct? So how do we get rid of it? I have some.

Could you post a picture to help with ID?

All the green bubble behind the fairy wrasse. :(

The bubble algae I had grew in single clusters, and tried the Emerald Crab approach without success. I ended up just picking it off during water changes (to help pick up spores). HTH

Bambalam -- I have pretty much decided to live with it, once in a while I will take out a rock and scrub it. I have so emeralds in there, but they don't seem to be doing much. Funny enough, I noticed it until I took my purple tang out (was getting to big for the tank), while I never actually saw him eating it, it seems to make sense to me.

Bebo77 -- Thanks got him a couple of months ago - love that fish, will chase my hand around whenever I am cleaning the inside of the tank, though it better be careful when I am doing the glass with a razor blade. ;)
