Does anyone know of anything other Mithrax crabs that eat bubble algae. I have two in my 55G and over the last week or two I have had a huge out break, and they dont seem to be eating any of it. Any suggestions?

sometimes mithrax crabs eat them, sometimes they don't. A friend had a yellow tang that ate bubble algae, so it's hard to predict what animals are 'supposed' to eat. The easiest way I've got rid of it was to take the rock out of the main tank and clean it off in a seperate container in saltwater. If it's not too bad, you can loosen it with the tip of a turkey baster and suck it out. either way works, just depends on how severe it is

My rabbitfish loves to pop the large bubbles, but doesn't eat it...So I get more:mad:

Just pick them off the rock by hand weekly and you will eventually get most of them out.
