Bubble Anemone

Is it normal for a bubble tip anemone to close up when the lights go off? My maroon clownfish is trying to rub against it but when the lights are off, the anemone closes up. Wasn't sure if this was normal.

yep thats normal. usually the fish will stay inside the nem at night. it closes up and protects the fish from harm :)

mine folds in half like a taco shell

What about silverside or krill. I plan on getting a BTA soon and wanted to know what to feed. I feed Mysis to the tank every third day now.

Start out small with very small minced pieces. You'll know you fed too much when the BTA spits it back out about 5 or 10 minutes later and it still looks like what you fed it.

It should be spitting out only the wastes and what it cannot eat, and it should be a decent amount later than just a few minutes.

Krill, Clam, Scallops, and Feeder Goldfish here. I feed large pieces, twice a week. Never had a BTA refuse any of those. Mine don't like Mysid though.

Bubble ???

That sure doesn't look like a bubble to me. Whatever it is, it's incredibly bleached.
