bubble coral doomed?

my bubble coral came off of its rock and started floating around. i may have had it in too much light. i was able to tuck it in a spot under a rock with low flow. is this thing done for? should i just pull it out?

It's making a last ditch attempt for a new home with better conditions - I wouldn't kill it while it's still trying to live.
