We have a huge bubble coral in our 150g and it was doing well for awhile but lately it has been looking really weak. We figured it was dying but sometimes it will perk up a little bit, but it hasnt been normal in about a month. Any ideas?

I'm going to ask the obvious here...

What are your water paramaters?

Has anything changed in your tank? New lights? New flow? New critters that could be picking on it?

Have you tried moving it to a new location?

Well the water isnt the greatest right now, we are due for a water change, but when this stated we had just done a water change. The nitrates are a little high. We had T5s and added some MH lights nothing is picking on it. o you think moving it might help? Are you talking to a new tank or to a new spot in the tank.

The new MH lights could be the problem. I know my bubble does NOT like high lighting.

Try moving it lower in the tank, or shading it a bit, then you can try try to acclimate it to the new lights slowly.

And of course, if your water isn't that great right now, do a water change, it will help EVERYTHING in your tank.

I second the MH lighting change. Bubbles like low light, low flow. I have to keep mine shielded under a rock overhang so he doesn't get fried under my lights. Find a shaded spot and slowly acclimate to the new lighting.

Keep it in the current tank, you don't want to stress it out even more by changing it to a new tank.

Don't worry ! Bubbles are pretty resiliant. It'll bounce back !
