I have a bubble coral i bought with one head about two years ago. Currently there are 8 seperate heads with another four forming from the eight, This coral is in a mixed LPS/SPS tank. This coral has always opened up with sweeping tenticles. Last night i noticed one head was not inflatted and showing some skeleton. This morning i took a look at the coral and the tissue has completed receded. All other heads look great like they usually do. All other SPS/LPS look good as well. Water is fine as well. Nitrate-0, calcium-440. alk-9.9, mag-1400.
So is there a bug or parisite that could be killing the coral, or maybe a disease from within. Should i try to save the head or cut from the rest of the coral. The entire coral shares tissue on the stalks.
When the lights come on ill take a pic of the coral. I posted a pic i found from a few weeks back to compare
