bubble coral problem

pic 1 is my bubble coral 1 week after being put in dt. nice and plump and looking good
pic 2 is the same coral today, it started looking like this, this past week end

it is located on the substrate.

I really don't check calcium and mag, my other lps,sps,leathers and zoas are flourishing

what can I do to help?

My guess is that it suffered tissue damage either during shipment to the LFS, or during transport between the LFS and your tank. Those things are really easy to damage with the skeleton the way it is. You can see the tissue recession at the prominent points on the skeleton. Problem is, it takes a while to really show.

Only thing you can really do is keep the water as pristine as possible and hope for the best.

Try iodine dip... Seems to help my corals when they start acting up.... Just dipped a open brain coral the other day... Sometimes corals are damaged during shipment and dont show sign until they are already home and in your tank... Your water conditions seem fine, so if light and flow are good then I'd try a dip

I have had my bubble for 13 years. I think you should make sure it is in a lower light area with low flow and watch it. I wouldn't start dipping it and just leave it alone for a few days. It may just need to adjust.

unfortunately I did give a dip earlier this evening, placed back in the substrate,started bubbling up a little bit but that was close to lights out, so when lights went out it receded. will watch for a few days. then maybe move into a small shaded area.

I found out the problem with my bubble was I did not acclimate it to the new LED system I put in and it stayed very parshley bubbled like yours up until one day its just couldn't do it anymore... I am much more experienced now to know to light acclimate correctly
