Bubble coral skeleton

I picked up a bubble coral with a large skeleton. Can I trim it down with out hurting it?

I think so, but then again Bubble corals are not really the best at recovering from a wound. If things go wrong you might be SOL. I wouldn't even mess with it to tell you the truth. If anything, maybe do a little rearranging to where you can place the majority of the skeleton in the rock structure somewhere. GL.
