Bubble King mini 160

I notice my skimmer was off over a week ago and I disconnected and reconnected the power plug. The skimmer would make two attempts to work and would shut off. I had to go out of town and am back trying to fix it. I took apart the skimmer and pump and no evidence of anything that would prevent the pump from working. I then started taking the pump apart and the backside bearing will not come out of the inside of the pump. I assume this is the problem but cannot remove the bearing. Has anyone run into this problem?

I have the pump disassembled and soaking in vinegar over night?

Any help is appreciated.

I just posted in the BK skimmer club thread about this. It sounds like the bearing might be calcified into the back of the motorblock. I would try soaking again, getting it out to clean it, then reseating.

I soaked the pump with vinegar over night and bearing would not release. The pump stoppedworking for awhile then I opened it up again and now turns on and will shut off. I will keep trying to remove the bearing.

Jeremy B., I just removed the bearing and no signs of calcification. I reassemble the pump and have the same symptoms. I don't know what else I can do. I'm ready to get a new pump but heard they are very pricey??
