As the title says; while cleaning the skimmer pump today I noticed a covering of rust inside the impeller housing, at 1st I thought it was the impeller but after a good cleaning I noticed that the sidewalls inside the pump are uneven and it appears that the inner workings of the armature are rusting and that is pushing out of the plastic within the housing.
Short circuit; I need a replacement pump. The pump is a BK 2000 skimmer pump and is for an internal 300.
Searching around it doesn't appear that many places sell these any more so where best to ask...
I am guessing that when the impeller went bad (see thread) that it may have damaged the inner working and it took until now to have it finally give out: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2032265
Can someone please point me to a reseller that I can purchase a new pump?
