I was wondering if there are any reviews out there on the bubble magus skimmers specifically:

bmqq external hob


i have done searching throughout RC no reviews thus far.

still searching so far all i've seen was great reviews for bubble magus overall for the nac6 and bm150.

they did mention the pumps aren't all that great. so will upgrade the pump if necessary.

I have the BMQQ skimmer. I ordered if from Nuocean and it was completely ready for North American wiring.

The skimmer is well built and for the price, I doubt that it can be beat. it came with a MJ1200 and the necessary NW impellar.

My one issue with this skimmer has been only that my sump is not deep enough for it. If you are using it as an HOB within the Display, it would be great, but I use it as an HOB within my sump. As such, my ATO isn't perfect and the skimmer is so tall that I've had to flip the main tube upside down in order to get the pump submerged. As such, the long side is where the bubbles need to travel and that has reduced the amount of skim-mate I get.

Other than than, excellent skimmer!

thanks for the info. i'm still in debate. i also found info on a EuroReef skimmer looks like duplicates.
