bubble on a frogspawn [pic]

My frogspawn has had a number of misadventures, due to its growth, the digitata's, and the hammer and candycane, and it is currently recuperating down on the sandbed.

Probably as a result of said misadventures, and losing two tentacles to war with the candy cane, it has developed a massive bubble or hernia on the side, which provides a kind of unusual window into internal lps structure. Hopefully it will heal, as the wall thickens. I certainly hope so.

Meanwhile it provides an interesting picture: wish I had a macro lens.

my hammer did that on every head and then i noticed that it developed two mouths on them. I think it means it will split.

Yeah, its going to split, or generate a new head. I freaked when mine did this too. Don't worry, nothing is wrong with it. Soon, it'll be bigger than before. It might look rougher than now for a few days in the near future, again, don't worry. Your frog actually looks pretty healthy with nice fat tentacles.

Good Luck and Happy Reefing!

I'm glad of the news. I try to take good care of it: the lfs who sold it to me wants a frag back when it's big enough: the pink tips are apparently uncommon in our area. It's reproduced mainly around the base, by creating new heads on that tissue, and the littlest ones expand like that too, huge, for their spindly size. It went through 3 days when *everything* happened to it---
The thing never seems to eat, rejects offered food, and just keeps expanding...probably it's getting some of the general cyclopeeze feeding. The hammer that was part of the war was situated behind it: I thought it had 3 heads, and since I moved the frog, it's shown up with seven---I'm quite amazed. Thank you all for the kind words.
