Bubble tip and Ocellaris clowns

the clowns are not too aware of the bubbe tip. i was expecting them to start being hosted by it, but that does not seem to be happening. they both seem to be healthy.

is there anything that i should be aware of? or doing? or is this normal?

I have some BTAs and and a pair of clowns. It took them about a month or so to start hosting. From all I have seen and read Ocellaris will host almost anything just give them time like Amphiprion said. Mine have hosted a torch coral, GSP, anemones to name a few.

This may sound crazy but one of the guys in my reef club had the same issue, he taped a picture of a clownfish hosting a anemone to his tank sure enough a few hours later his clown was hosting the anemone. Give it a shot, let us know how it worked.

some never host what you want them to. A lot of people have reported success with posting pictures of clowns hosting or even little clownfish shaped feeding clips near the anemone.

I have an incredibly old, mature female percula that ignores carpets, ltas and bta's. She's been in the tank with the same anemones for over 5 years.

Some never "get it"
