Bubble tip anenome challenge! Can I make it bubble up??

Bubbles are nice and all, but I'll let mine be. Either this is some amazing technique or the OP is afraid of the BTA police for what they've done and won't ever say.

IME when an anemone is happy you'll know it, bubbles or not. I've found that every time I acclimate a new bta it bubbles up but as it starts to feel more comfortable it goes boner tentacle and sprouts out. This guy was bubbled up when I had him in my tank in the acclimation box on the sand bed but as soon as I placed him in rock work he went longer tentacle but still looks great. The bubble look is awesome but difficult to achieve in most tanks especially due to higher flow.

Wow. Big change.. mine is still very bubbly.. the inferno somewhat bubbles, but not the rest

I can't believe no one has cracked this before. It's so simple. I made that vid last night and I'd almost be willing to bet that tonight when I get home that nem I pointed out is still right beside the other one but it will be showing its bubbles while the other is still stringy.

If what you stated about pokeing them to get them to bubble well thats the reason no one cracked it before, why would we harm our pets on purpose?

Seems the trick is to stuff your tank with so many tangs that you can't see the anemones anymore

Do my bubbled up nems look harmed? Ever see a hermit crab attack a nem to get it to spit up its food? I'm done posting.

OH NO, you're not getting out of it that easily. You need to finish what you started and show us the video of how you accomplish making them bubble. :hammer:

I've seen clowns beat the crap out of anemones killing them, so I'm sure whatever you're doing can't be that bad.

If you're going to quit just like that, than please don't put up teaser posts that other hobbyists truly get excited about and then not deliver. A true hobbyist would share this information to help others with no hesitation.

You're exhibiting classic signs of defense and avoidance telling me your method has already been discovered and most don't approve. Hermit crabs attacking are more natural than humans with some tongs.

his technique has already been explained. you need to poke it with tongs unitl it get's really mad.

Next time...likely less flaming...if you simply post the video's all right away with your evidence of how "non harmful" it is...or isn't.
The follow up question would be how often you are having to **** the animal off in order to keep the bubbles.

I haven't touched the original 2 for 2 weeks or more. It all started with trying to get one of them to move. The long sweeping tenicles were stinging stuff so I poked at it a bit to get it to move but to no avail. It just stayed out and bubbled up so I decided to try it with another and it did the same thing. The 3rd was showing them last night too some. It takes a few days for them to really show. It's obviously not hurting them. They fully inflate again in no time. I'm pretty sure I understand why they bubble up after an encounter with something they seam to be able to perceive as a threat. Shorter tentacles are easier and faster to retract.
