Bubble Tip Anenome out of water??

I'm thinking about getting a rose bubble tip anenome for my 10g nano and I'm pretty sure it'll pick a high spot closest to my light.. but when i do water changes in my tank the water level comes down quite a bit and the anenome would definitely be slightly or completely out of water for about 5 - 10 minutes 15 at the most... is this okay for anenomes? or do they like to be submerged all the time? let me know what you know

thanks

although it will not kill the anemone it is best that it stays in the water.. if its going to be out of the water i would limit the exposure time to the very least..

The anemone will go down with the water level to a certain point, so you should be able to do 3-4 gallons before it's a huge issue. BTA's are pretty big so the foot of the anemone won't be 2" from the surface or anything.

The RBTA should be fine. I tore down my reef once, trying to remove a damsel. My RBTA was out of the water for 15 minutes and was fine. It didn't even try to move. Hopefully, you have a larger tank to move the RBTA to in the near future. It will outgrow a 10G in a short period.

yeah im going to get the smallest one i can find so it lasts as long as possible

Realize that they are just bags of water so they can "grow" very quickly without actually adding much biomass. They just inflate at will.

I have two BTA's in a 75 gal and I also have a 10 gal nano. I can't imagine keeping one in a 10 gal for long.

It will be fine out of the water for that period of time.... just make sure that it is not laying on any sharp edges of a rock where it could damage it self from its own weight during its time out of the water
