Bubble tip expelling something.

To start, this is a young 80g tank, but the system was established about six months ago, 200g total volume. I used TBS rock and never really ever saw a real cycle, it just seemed to take off and parameters fell into place quickly.

The bubble tip wasn't even supposed to be here yet, but it came as a package with the clowns. It actually looks great, expanded nicely, tight closed mouth, dark red and green, no sign of bleaching.

Unfortunately it is expelling something dark brown to black from its mouth. I am hoping it's just waste, but if it is something else I would like to catch it early. It's a rookie mistake to have the anemone this early, but it is what it is at this point.

I have my Radions set at 40% with a 4 week acclimation period for it, XR30s 9 inches off the water, 16" deep tank, and the anemone is on a rock about 4 inches off the sand.

Just watch him, they do that a lot of times when they have been shipped. If it starts looking like hamburger meat, take it out....

Could be just expelling zoo from lights too bright. Or jsut getting used to the tank. No need to worry unless it keeps expelling and shrinking in size..

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it. It looks great, except for what's coming out of its mouth, thanks for the reassurance.
