Bubble tip help

It was expelling some nasty brown pea looking thing at lunch. Hopefully it will be back to normal when I get home. Not sure if I should be worried about that.

Nope don't think you have to worry, It's getting rid of whatever was making it sick. Could have been zoo or could have been something else.

Those brown pellets that anemones spit out are usually clumped up zooxanthellae.
If you put it under a microscope you can actually see the golden brown zooxanthellae tightly packed.

As for returning it right after the treatment - I would wait for at least a week to see if the treatment was successful. Also, the pathogens may still be active in the tank and in its weakened state the anemone can easily get reinfected. So it's best to let the anemone regain some strength before putting it back.

Late update
Day 6
Wc 5
Looking better than earlier, a little shrunken. In response to the previous post: he'll have to go back in tomorrow night. I'm out of salt water and the light I have over him won't sustain it for that long. If the pathogens are in the tank they're still gonna be there a week from now. 4 other nems in the DT.

Well it was looking good for a bit while back in the tank. But today it's deflated again. not sure what to do now. If it's not a bacterial infection then what is it...

It may just be expelling water, I wouldn't worry too much yet. BTA's do this on a fairly regular basis. At least mine do.

Aaaand it's back to looking good again. I have a local club member who said he's confident he can bring it back to health, so I'm going to give it a few days back in the DT and see how it goes. If no improvement it will go to the club members system.

Can you ask your club member what he would do to bring it back to health? I am treating my GBTA and would like some more ideas after the treatment is complete.

Hes just gonna keep it in his tank, nothing special. But he seemed real confident so I figured I'd give it a try lol.

That sucker was HUNGRY. Haven't seen a feeding response like that in months. It ate a good 3 pieces of mysis.
