Bubble tip not "bubbling"

Any general reasons why Bubble Tip nems do not "bubble"? I have two green and one rose in a 120. Good flow but not excessive, lots of rock and they are in different sections of the tank. My Ritteri, zoos, mushrooms, leathers, fish are all happy! I have a pair of Maroons, who cruse around all of my nems. They look good, just not bubbling.
Did a search but no real answers.
Thanks.

That's cuz there are no answers, as far as I am aware no one knows why, I have 2 RBTAs in my daughters 40G one bubbles the other doesn't. They are within inches of each other so lighting and flow is basically the exact same

No answer for the question yet...could be the flow could be lighting also could be the growth/age of the anemone...

try feeding.....mine shows long tentacles when they are hungry and few hours after feeding their bubble tips reappeared

I'll try something "meatier" than the frozen brine and Mysis I have been feeding! What do you feed yours?

Feeding doesn't help mine bubble. Be careful with feeding something "meatier". If it doesn't digest fairly quickly, it can just rot in their belly and cause some problems.

BTAs don't have the sting to capture anything much bigger than plankton size, so I wouldn't think their digestive system (which is basically just a bag) would be capable of handling much more than that either.

I have used shrimp, scallops, squid and ocean fish, but I keep the food size to no bigger than a pencil erasure.
