Bubble tip placement

Can you put a bubble tip on the sand? Will it stay? Or will they go to a rock anyway?

Do any of you have one on the sand?

BTA like rock I've never seen or heard of a BTA staying on the sand. You could possibly get luck and have it attach to a smaller piece of rubble rock on the sand bed, but BTA love to move so...

With coral in a tank...a moving BTA may be a problem....so you have coral?

I have coral and 3 RBTA's, my BTA's do move but not very much, if the setup you have for them is what they like they don't really move much (maybe an inch or 2). if your the type of person that likes to change water flow and aquascapeing then they will move alot.
