We picked up another bubble tip about a week ago. It is HUGE!!! I'd say about 10 inches when fully opened. We put it in our 120 which has one 400w metal halide (14k hamiliton) above it. I put it on the bottom so i could light acclimate it in a bit shaded area. well it attached to a rock, but than went "under" it to the completely shaded side. Well a week later it doesnt look so hot. It was still attached to the rock, but most of the tentacles were shriveled, and its mouth was kind of convoluted (sp) it was still attached to the rock fine. I had tried to feed it the first few days, but its nematacycts (sp again) werent very strong. I figured stressed from the move.. whatever. looked really healthy besides the point. we were gone for about a week because of research, and came back to find it bad. So i pulled it out of the 120 and put it in a smaller tank with a power compact..
any suggestions? on what is going on.
