Bubble tip split

Well the bubble tip I bought last week just split, not sure if it's good or bad as it was only a couple of inches in diameter to begin with.

It looks ok and doesn't appear to have a gaping mouth

They split when conditions are good, and they split as a defense (better chance 1 will survive, if there are 2), when conditions are poor.
If you don't keep regular check on your water quality, now is a good time to see if there's something wrong.
If you've been feeding it, the split could have been in response to that, too.

I don't know if my conditions are real good or real bad, but 18 months ago I had two, now I have nine.
