Bubble trouble

Guillaume

Another reef dependant
Hi All,

I have this ex beautiful bubble that I probably shocked by putting too fast from a shaddow place to a "sunny" place in my thank 3-4 weeks ago. Since then, it look like in the picture, shocked. I did a Lugol's solution bath, also put it appart in a confinment without current and less light.
It is starting to present necrosis that I pull from it (see picture in the middle).
It is still eating my brine shrimps.
I'm hesitating to administrate fresh water bath because I don't see signs of parasites, nor brown jelly.

Any idea to stop necrosis and getting it back in shape?

Thanks a lot!

Guillaume

make sure you just keep it with mild current to allow it to get rid of it's waste and any loose tissue.....and lots of patience. Hope it goes well.

Why did you move it in the first place and why do you want to keep dipping it? That will only stress it out more. From my experience they get stressed out pretty easily.

Go with low light LOW flow and feed once or twice a week.

I stressed mine out from moving it and my ALK dripping low. Half of all the tissue died.

I just left it in there and now it is starting to grow back.

So, under the right conditions you should be able to leave it alone and it will come back to its former glory.

Thanks for your comments. I was not convinced about other baths or stuff. Patience and feeding then. Good to be confirmed.
Thanks
Guillaume

Also, to answer Logzor: I moved it first from a lighted place to a darker place to make more space for another coral. The space become again available and I moved back the bubble to the first lighten place. All those moves were not a good idea.

The moving is one thing, but the dips were needless and only amplified and compounded the problem :( Good luck.
