can an excessive amount of bubbles in a tank cause any problems or scare the fish????

What is causing the bubbles? How big are they? Do you have any corals in the tank?

my fission skimmer theyre small but they cover the top of my little tank and yes i hav corals

The bubbles do effect some species of fish and corals. I would suggest trying to put a foam filter or filter sock on the skimmer where it dumps back into the tank. This will help most of the bubbles dissapate before they enter the water.

if they are at the top it shouldn't cause a problem. post a pic of your skimmer maybe someone can help find a solution to minimize the bubbles in the water

Hi, I have a hang over filter and the current is quite strong. Micro bubbles are forming and made my tank water looks cloudy. bubbles also seen sticking on my fish. is it harmful to my tank and fishes? How do get rid of it?

My simmer did that at first also. usually once some slime builds up in the skimmer it will go away. Mine took 4 days and cleared up

yup, mine too..i didn't see any adverse affects on my fish
