my bta was moved from my 14g biocube into my 40g reef. it stayed on the spot i placed it for about 4 days. but it moved to the underside of the rock about 2 days ago. i know it might be adjusting to the light because the biocube only had pc's and the 40 has metal halides but why didn't it move the first few days? is there anything i can do to make it come back to the top of the rock? thanks! btw ammonia is 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0. and the tank mates are a blue-spotted jawfish, a seahorse, a few sps, lps, and some softies. and there is an anemone crab that my bta hosts.

i would just leave it there for a while. Worry if its deflated and stays like that. If so well move it yourself unless it shows signs that its dying (smelly and pieces readilly fall off the anemone). If it is dying remove it from the tank for there is little you can do about it. Now if it is not dying move it to a spot where you like but where the anemone will be able to burry its foot ( a nice whole in the rock). It is posible the anemone is stuck under your rock and that is why it wont leave

It is not uncommon for E. quads to hide when they are relocated. It will gradually come back out, but this may take time if it is used to another type of light. Please continue feeding the anemone around 3 times a week, especially if it is adjusting to a different type of lighting and tank. Moving it again will only stress/ damage it more.
