 I hope to have a pic up in a few days. I was jest wondering if any one has ever seen this happen. at the lfs it looked normal. after i put in in the tank and about a week in a half the tips started to ballon up. the polups are longer than I have ever seen on a montipora. I have never seen this before. Is this a sign of desiese. it is in a 40?55? D.A.S system with up graded pskimmer and a 3ft 4 bulb T5 light. ca, alk, po4, salinity, temp, all well within range of a tyipical reef tank. I do use phoslock to controle po4.

this may just be normal growth, but it is hard to tell without closer pictures.

thanks for geting them on the thred anthony.
on the first pic the piece in the middle you can all most see through.
this bubbling as decreased over the last month. the bubbles used to be the size of the tips so what ever it was it seems to be going away.
I jest wanted to see if any one elce has seen this before.

Am I right? is this monipora diga..??

i have that orange on green digi, but it's not doing that. smooth grawth tips.

i do however, have a green didi that's doing that at the tips. no idea why.

Ive seen something like that and ive also gotten on one of my acros. I think its called acro blisters and i think its just sometimes from new growth. I dont think its anything to worry about but, then again im no expert.

i had a stylo do this and i was all concerned but then it went away- since then i have noticed it on areas of very fast growth in a green monti cap, and a purp digi - i think that it may be just "growing pains" in some cases........??????? just my anacdotal observation though.....most of the time they don't have that bubble growth

thanks for all the feed back I wished I would have checked the mg when the bubbles were larger than the tips. that could have been the cause but I used instant ocean the whole time and i thought it was sufficent in mg. ferther testing required. if someone wants to test instant ocean's Mg and I'll test it so we can compare the reading it would help.
