Buckets and syphon usage after copper treatment

Hi. I am treating 2 false percs for ich with chelated copper in a hospital tank. My question concerns water changes during treatment. Can i use the buckets and siphon hose for my DT after using it to perform waterchanges on the hospital tank or is the copper going to leach into the plastic? Thanks in advance for your replys.

I use the same siphon hose that I use for my DT I think its fine but thats just my opinion.

but if you have some ich in the display and then put some of that water in your hospital tank you have to start teh clock over when medicating...

Thanks for the replies. I wont be using dt water for the water changes and my dt will remain fishless for 8 weeks.

I am actually going to the extreme of using different buckets and tubing for my QT than for my DT. I'm not taking any chances! Maybe this is extreme, but I'll feel better this way.

Doesn't seem extreme to me... Sensible, sure. You're just avoiding cross contamination. I use different equipment, too.
