I lived in VA while growing up and had a family living in the woods right behind us. the younger ones even came over and played with my boxer and husky from time to time. There was a guy that used to come into my work ( a PEtstore) with his pet squirrel he said it was just like a calmer suger glider and it sat in his pocket he not keep it on a leash or anything even out side it didn't runn away
