Budget Constraints: ASM or Octopus?

Not to start a skimmer war....But I am considering one of these skimmers for my new 180 mixed reef, mostly softies...
I am leaning towards the Octopus NW200 with the simple mesh mod, but I would appreciate your input....

I would lean towards the Octopus since ASM parts are becoming more and more difficult to find.

If I was going with a budget skimmer I would go with aquaeuro. However I ended up getting a new Tunze becuase it is silent.

I was seriously looking at the AquaEuro, but the recent rusting pump issues have to be resolved now. May take a while?

Octopus NW200 with the simple mesh mod and gate mod is a good skimmer but getting the cup off is PITA.

A PITA? Its a union. You just unscrew it.

The octopus is superior in every way to the ASM at this point, and is cheaper. Theres no reason to look at ASM right now.
