OK, what the heck is it. Can't find any pictures or info on this bad boy. Flow, lighting, yadda yadda. I guess I could have asked at the swap but I wanted to get the up to Aquarium Concepts and back down to San Jose, before my wife hatched a plan to shoot me.... just going to the swap for a couple of hours dear :D

Thanks all. It's under 14k 250 Halides but quite deep. The flow is pretty good in most of my tank... I'm having a hard time placing the candy cane because of it.

If it's the BAR donated piece, it was purchased from Atlantis about 3 weeks ago. At that time it was totally green. I put it about 18" below the water line and have a bare radium 20k 250 bulb about 4" above the water line. It very quickly started to develop bright blue centers on all the polyps. I've seen these corals green or brown out under lower lighting, though still survive just fine. Some of the frags won't have the blue yet but slowly bring them up to full light level and they will in time.
I feed them a mix of rotifeast and slightly ground up arctipods. I don't target feed but they probably catch as much food as if I did.

thanks for the info bookfish, i got a lep frag too and was wondering about the lighting requirements.. do favites like high lighting in general or is this an exception?

Many leptastreas only hold their best color under medium high lighting. The favites group is very varied in light requirements.
