I wouldlike to know if baking soda can be used as a buffer in a saltwater tank? I have used it for years in my cichlids tank, but do not know if this will do anything to screw up the saltwater in the tank. Will it work, or should I look at the commercial stuff, and what is the difference??????

yes baking soda can be used to raise and lower ph in a SW tank
