I found found about a half a dozen of these crawling all over my rock today. They must have been in my tank for a while since they are about 4-5mm long. I have also not added anything new for about a month.
Above are various shots of one that I took out of my tank. I have looked at various hitchhiker sites, but I don't seem to be able to find an exact match.
It looks like it might be an Isopod, it seems to have a similar tail, but does not appear to have legs or big black eyes.
It could be a chiton, as it cures up like a potato bug when agitated, but it does not match the colour of the sample picture.
If it does turn out to be evil, any suggestion on getting rid of them other then just picking them out?
