Jesse, do you shoot in RAW? I need to figure that part out. What post editing software do you use? Great pictures.

I always shoot in raw.
I use Photoshop CS 3 and Lightroom, though I haven't put the time into learning Lightroom yet, so most is with PS. I started with PS Elements which is very inexpensive and will give you most you would need. You should have something that came with your camera for RAW editing.
 
Probably 99% handheld for me. You usually don't have time for a tripod. That's why light plays a real important roll. Whether it comes from a flash, or faster lens, light gets you. If you use tubes, it gets worse. Less light becomes available, and the DOF gets narrower.
 
good job misled what next? thats not all is it? I WANT MORE they are very good.. thats an understatment great they are
 
the dragon fly pics are great its my favorite bug you take very good pictures (are you a photographer by trade? or hobby?) i sure wish i could do close ups like that. i try but i havent put the effort into learning my cameras that well yet, it is on the list though.
