Build log: My 360G Mixed Reef [56k beware]

Sure why not :)

I ended up catching marine velvet from the blonde naso so I changed up my QT protocol, ran all of the fish through an extended QT and tank went fallow. They are back in and as healthy as can be.

I had my 6' 360gal plumbed into the main system and full of 1000lbs+ of live rock.

Removed the rock and converted the tank to a QT at 2:30am

Pretty easy to miss the copperband... Healthy hungry fish.

I setup a RSM130 in the entry to my house to serve as a coral/invert QT.

I took the opportunity to change the rockwork.

I also setup a QT system that consists of 4 20gal tanks for the first stage as well as a 5' 100gal with live rock for their second stage. After that they will go into the 360QT for long term until they are ready for prime time. Gearing up for things to come if you will.

The fish room is in pretty rough shape right now, I tore the meniscus and acl in my left knee as well as the meniscus in the right. Did the left one setting up this for my btas instead of the rubbermaid.

Oh and I solved my RO + chloramines issue. This thing weighs 20lbs.

Whew, what a ride!

Whew, what a ride!

It was sad and sometimes a bit emotional to see it go but the time has come to say goodbye to this tank. I have learned so much over the time I had it. Now that it is gone I am going to be able to start focusing on the 600gal and completing that setup as I had originally planned. Progress is sweet and the display room is going to be awesome once completed. Farewell friend, it's been fun.

It was a bit nerve wracking taking it out inches away from the 600gal but she made it out safely.

Cheers
