I used to have a 150 gallon half cylinder from oceanic, but algae from the glass was a little hard to clean and couldn't do a nice aquascape as the rectangle aquariums here are some of the pictures of the build i wish i took more of the process.

Now with the tank

Sump and plumbing all done. That skimmer on the photos was only rated for 150 gallon had to change it for a 250 gallon rated skimmer.

So i decided to do a frame and cover the aquarium with this wood that has a high gloss and it's really good with humidity.

Here you can see the frame i build around the aquarium so i can enclosed and make it look like a wall of this high gloss wood.

First i started with the sides of the tank due to the wood is really expensive so i had to do it little by little lol

Then i added the bottom part which are doors so i can work on the sump.

Removed the plastic covering the woods for any scratches and it was looking really nice.

Then a couple of months passed by and i had to get the top door so i can finish the wall.

Decided to relocate the red monti cap to a corner and move the aquascape a little

This is the big colony of the red monti cap on the right side of the tank now pretty happy.

+1 On that high gloss material. Very nice clean look.

I just got the same dual MH with 4 t5s. How do you like it? Which bulbs did you put in the T5s?

Its a nice fixture but the fans makes a loud noise and I had to removed them and did a diy with 120mm fans. I have ushio 20k mh and 2 ati coral plus and 2 ati blue plus with a fixture reefbrite of 72" xho blue led.

Oh ok, mine is a custom set up so doesn't have fans. going to DIY my own though. And nice, I was thinking similar bulbs. Thanks

Looking great! The only thing I would not move such big tank close to corner . I had same 180g in the past and moved it in the corner. It was hard to get to the overflow area.

Thank you to get to the overflow is no problem for me I just need a ladder cause the top of the aquarium opens up and I can raise lights and take a look or do what I need to do.

Resurrecting this old thread I have the same light Maristar 2 and the fans are driving my wife mad, which fans did you get? Do you have any pictures? I have not been able to setup the timer for the light I cannot seem to figure out how to make it even come on no light or nothing on the timer, any ideas? Thanks in advance Jim
